It's that time of year - and LJ Shores the "day
after" July 4th always needs an extra cleanup
crew. We'll provide the coffee and pickup sticks -
bring yourself & kids & friends - meet @ Dave's
truck 7AM to help! If you'd like us to call for
volunteers to join in your beach cleanup efforts or
post your cleanup info here, please contact us:

2011 Menehune Surf Contest Archives: Thanks to ALL our

Our annual contest for youth, ages 18 & under, longboard & shortboard &
novice, was Saturday, April 16, 2011. We had great surf and sun all day, and

Mark your calendars for the last weekend in April. We've set the date for our one day surf
contest for kids age 18 & under, featuring longboard, shortboard, novice, and super
menehunes (6 & under). We're looking for sponsors and if you'd like to be featured on
our website, e-news, and/or event program, click here for more info about sponsorship
opportunities and this fabulous one day event!

is Friday, March 16, 2012. Grand Prize - $100 & featured art on t-shirts
Every year our surf club sponsors an art contest to inspire our community youth to get
involved and have their art featured on our surf contest t-shirts! Additionally, we offer $100
cash for our grand prize winner whose art will be featured, together with the other top 30
entries at the La Jolla Riford Library during April and May. Featured at left, is last year's
winning art from La Jolla High student Christian Gimber. To download an entry form with the
